Cannons Tin Tops

Cannons proudly sponsor a series of motor races in the BARC South East Region. The cars are modified versions of Production Saloon and Hatchback car models. Races take place at Brands Hatch, Castle Combe, Mallory Park, Lydden Hill, Snetterton and Silverstone.

This year, Jason Watkins - Cosworth Commercial Manager - joins the TinTops lineup.

"I’m really looking forward to driving my old BARC South East Championship winning car after recently reacquiring it . It was an easy decision to come into Cannon’s Tin Tops, - a great series with a really friendly atmosphere which is gaining popularity thanks in particular to the support of Series Sponsor, Paul Cannon of Cannons Motor Spares and the dedication of the BARC-SEC organisers. I am expecting it will take a couple of events to get back into the rhythm after a 3-year absence but we know the car and where the weaknesses are. My employer, Cosworth have kindly provided a 2011 BTCC-spec data logging kit, which I shall use to study my driving style as well as using the data to help develop some engineering solutions to solve some of the inherent understeer problems that the car used to suffer from, hopefully making it even quicker and provide some entertaining racing." www.cosworth.com
